The checklist table below represents all of the essential tasks needed to ensure that SocialHootz can run using all of the features.  This information should have already been provided at the analysis and goal stage and should be used in conjunction with the checklist document that the sales or account manager used during the planning stage.  You can download it here.

If you do not have all of this information the guide below will explain why its needed and who primarily is responsible for providing it.

Website Integration The website integration feature allows SocialHootz to automatically update the clients website. The core business and sales focus will have allowed us to establish the clients keyword goals. Ensuring that the clients target pages for have been identified and if the reseller is managing the clients website to ensure that they have been optimised and added to the the list of pages to update. To ensure that they have provided the keyword goals and if they manage their own website to ensure that the identified pages have been optimised.
Business Details Provides essential information to SocialHootz which it will need for other features to work. Other details will have been provided during the signup phase but its important to clarify with the client that the details are correct. Ensuring that the Business Sub Categories are correct and reflect all of the essential services of the client. To ensure correct sub categories are provided. A business can have more than one.
Business Details (Location) Specifies to SocialHootz the region or geography constraints that the Client will work within.  This is used by features that require geographical long and lat co-ordinates to pinpoint relevant individual and businesses. Ensuring that the clients geographical constraints are correct. To ensure the geographical range has been specified.
Social Media integration Allows SocialHootz to post to clients social media accounts The reseller will need to obtain the social media login credentials and apply them to the Service Overrides section of SocialHootz.  Client to provide social media account details
Email Marketing Integrates SocialHootz content with Email campaigns If this is being used the reseller needs to create the email header and footer as explained here. May need to provide images and other marketing collateral depending on the complexity of the design and branding.
Social Media (Internal) Engagement Form Applies a Disqus comments box to all blogs and special offers sent to the blogging and special offer platforms. As long as the clients email address is used, all engagement and comments will go directly to client. They will be able to manage the conversations through their own email address. The reseller needs to create a Disqus account at disqus.com and preferably use the clients email address so that future engagement is managed by the client.  You will need to add the disqus username to the Website Internal section. Client will need to activate the account using their own email address.
Social Media (Internal) Allows configuration and frequency of message distribution from Client website From the client checklist form and section entitled "Social Media" add the message frequency for promotional messages.  
Social Media (External) Allows configuration and frequency of message distribution from External or SocialHootz owned websites From the client checklist form and the section entitled "Social Media" add the message frequency for non-promotional messages.  
Social Media (Internal) Extraction Filters Templated Websites - Tells SocialHootz exactly what content is to be taken from the Clients website From the client checklist form and the section entitled "Social Media" select the relevant portions of the page for extraction as explained here.  
Social Media (Internal) Extraction Filters Standard Content Websites - Tells SocialHootz exactly what content is to be taken from the Clients website, except it allows the Client to select content manually that SocialHootz can extract and post to Social Media accounts The reseller will need to configure the Clients content management system if the client wants to be able to select messages from the website to be added to the SocialHootz messaging queue.  If the client is using wordpress use this plugin.  
Direct Engagement Listens to conversations on Twitter and automatically engages prospect when the specified terms are used.   This is restricted to the location details that are defined in Business Details (Location) above. From the client checklist form and in the section entitled "Direct Engagement" transfer the information to the Direct Engagement feature as outlined here.  
Specials Sends special offers to local special offer sites, this can be used stand alone or with the Campaigns feature From the client checklist form and in the section entitled "Specials" create the needed special offers as provided by the client.  
Campaigns Sends blogs to SocialHootz blogging platforms. This can be used as a standalone feature but is intended to integrate with Specials, Engagement and Contacts to be able to generate direct sales and new contacts. From the client checklist form and in the section entitled "Campaigns" confirm how many blogs the client wants distributed per month.  The reseller will need to use the keywords within the page reports and send the keyword suggestions to the content editor, upload the new content, add images and select portions of the content suitable for Social Media distribution.  
Competition (Audience Building) Grows the clients Social Media accounts by following the followers of their competitors. From the client checklist form and in the section entitled "Competition" transfer the clients competitors to the Competiton section of SocialHootz.
